Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Random Animal Generator, the service at randomanimalgen.com (the “Service”), handles information when you use it. We aim to collect as little as possible. The operator of Random Animal Generator is the controller of the personal data described here; you can reach us at the address in the Contact section.
1. What you create stays lightweight
The hybrid creatures, names, trait chips, and art prompts you build are generated in your browser. Creatures you choose to save are stored in your own browser (localStorage) unless you sign in to sync them.
2. Information we collect
- Account data. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information (such as your name and email) to create and identify your account.
- AI image prompts. When you render an AI image, the prompt describing your creature is sent to a third-party AI image provider to generate the picture.
- Usage limits. We keep a per-day counter of AI image generations (tied to your account or an anonymous identifier) to enforce free daily limits.
- Payment data. If and when paid plans launch, payment will be handled by a third-party processor; we will not store full card details, only a record that a transaction occurred and your plan status.
- Usage and device data. We collect basic, aggregated analytics (such as page views and approximate region) via Google Analytics to understand and improve the Service.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to provide and secure the Service, operate accounts, enforce free usage limits, respond to support requests, serve and measure advertising, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies & advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the Service, and for analytics and advertising:
- Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember settings such as theme.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregated usage.
- Advertising. We may display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings, and learn more at Google’s advertising policies.
You can control or clear cookies through your browser settings.
5. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on: performance of a contract (to operate your account and any plans); our legitimate interests (to secure, maintain and improve the Service and understand aggregated usage), balanced against your rights; your consent where we ask for it (for example, personalized advertising or non-essential analytics), which you may withdraw at any time; and compliance with a legal obligation.
6. Third-party services and international transfers
We rely on third parties for sign-in (Google), AI image generation, analytics and advertising (Google), and, in future, payment processing. These providers process data under their own privacy policies. Some may process data in countries other than your own; where they do, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
7. Data retention
We keep account and usage records for as long as your account is active or as needed to comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account as described below.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, contact us at the address below. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under the age required by your local law to consent to data processing, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
